It’s not as hard as Rare’s classic FPS games (especially if playing with a mouse and keyboard), but it’s a fantastic homage to them.

As with Goldeneye, there are multiple difficulty levels for your missions, with harder difficulty levels requiring you to perform extra objectives. In the game you’re a James Bond style spy (who looks rather a lot like a current day Pierce Brosnan) who is sent on covert espionage missions. It’s basically the same game, but with slightly better graphics and an updated control style that works with dual-stick control pads and mouse & keyboards. If you’ve ever harkened back to those glory days of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, Agent 64: Spies Never Die is the FPS for you. Agent 64: Spies Never Die is a near-perfect homage to the classic N64 Goldeneye game, which sees you completing top-secret missions against “state-of-the-art” 1997 enemy AI.
